Las Vegas CityCenter: The New Hot Spot on the Strip

The wet dream of those who think, dream, and spend big; the bane of existence of Donald Trump, who thinks the place will "be the biggest bust in the history of real estate."

Not long ago you could say he was right. The monstrosity of architectural design has had construction delays, money issues and six people died while building it -- that's the kind of stuff that happens when people were building Egyptian temples.

That being said it opened to everyone on Dec. 16, 2009 and is ready to give those who enter enough eye candy to last them a decade.

The thing is 16,797,000 square feet (no we didn't accidently add zeroes) and has everything, we mean everything; it's like its own mini city on the strip. But is the place any good to game or chill at on a long weekend? Is it $8.5 billion well spent?

Well going by the specs how can it disappoint? It has the Aria Resort & Casino, a 61-story, 150,000 square foot hotel that boasts 4,004 rooms. It also has numerous locations which boast condominiums for those who want to stay in Vegas longer than four days: Vdara, a 57-story hotel condo; Harmon Hotel and Spa, a 400-room non-gaming boutique hotel; Madarin Oriental a 225 condominium residence with 392 hotel rooms; and Veer towers, twin 37-story towers with 674 condominium units. Needless to say if you need a place to stay this spot is it.

Then you have the thing that takes up a chunk of the structure's square footage: The Crystals. If you like to shop, you may have a heart attack when you check this place out. It'll have high-roller spots to shop like Christian Dior, Bulgari, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Fendi, Prada, Versace... basically everywhere your wife or girlfriend has dreamed of going. So fellas, maybe avoid telling the woman about the place to ensure you don't claim bankruptcy by time you walk across it.

The cool thing about it is there's an easy way to navigate the juggernaut. The venue has a people mover, which is a little train that takes people in the complex all the places they need to go.

We suggest grabbing a hotel in the spot and checking it out, this place is the equivalent of the lost city of Atlantis rebuilt and plopped on the biggest casino gaming district in the world.
